Team Update.......

June, 2004

OK, let's see, where did I leave off? The May 28th points race was interesting. Charles and I both lost first round of Street ET and both went on to the Semi-Finals in Pro Bike. If we would have won our races we would have faced each other in the final. Oh, well, that's racing. Another interesting thing about this race was that I had to face Jon Sykes AGAIN in Pro Bike, somehow I won again. I am counting my lucky stars this year. Anyway, we had a great time as usual.

Prostar, June 4,5 and 6 was fun for me but Charles really doesn't enjoy racing in Prostar so he sat this one out. I went four rounds in Street ET and two rounds in Pro ET. I had a great weekend, it was really a blast for me. We stayed over at the track and had Ground Hog and his wife and baby over that to entertain us. Quite funny I tell you! Brandi was in the house as well, she has been MIA for quite some time since she moved to Ohio, I have missed her so we got to catch up as well.

The June 11th points race was another interesting race. I won my first round of Street ET against Marcus Taylor and my first round of Pro ET against, guess who..... Jon Sykes. That is the theme this year over at the track, very strange! Anyway, I went to second round of Street ET against Mike Garner and this was a killer. I got him on the light and jumped out in front of him by the 1/8th mile marker. I go to shift into third and my clutches go out, I try to shift again and redline. I was bummed! I would have went on to race Dusty and then Charles in the final. That would have been so cool! Charles won again in Street ET, he and Don Klarer are having a fierce battle for first place in points, Charles is now one point behind Don. Charles went a couple rounds in Pro ET.

The June 18th race was rained out. Then NHRA was in town this past weekend June 25 - 27th. I went over there to watch on Friday and had a ball. I was able to get into the staging lanes with the Pro Stock Bikes and took a bunch of pictures, thanks to Brandi and Scott Valetti! Anway, back to the track this week for Test and Tune and a midnight madness race on Friday. No points race this weekend. The next points race for us will be July 9, hopefully we are done with all this rain and can get some racing in.

Thanks for reading our updates!
