Update.......
July, 2004
July 4th we traveled to Kansas City to race the Soul Brothers
race. It was a blast as usual, they put on a great race with
guaranteed purse, and you just can't beat that. I ended up
getting runner up in the 9.90 class and won $250 from that
and then making it to the quarterfinals in the ET class and
I got $25 for that class. Charles went out before the money
round in the ET class and took third in the Shootout class.
We had a fun weekend and it was well worth the trip! See below

2nd Annual Soul Brothers Race in Kansas City, MO
July
9th points race was disappointing for Willis Racing. I qualified
number one in Street Bike with a .001 light, I was totally
psyched for first round. I won and went on to second round
against Don Klarer; this was my opportunity to put him on
the trailer and let Charles get a little ahead of Don in points.
I screwed up; I slept at the light, .120 light to Don's .021
light. I was so pissed at myself for that. Charles made it
to third round I think and lost to Nelson Taylor. Don ended
up winning Street Bike that night and making a big jump ahead
of Charles in points.
July 24th and 25th we went over to Gateway for NOPI. The bike
turn out was not very good but we still raced and I ended
up winning and getting $400 and a big trophy. Charles took
third and got a trophy. Charles wasn't concentrating very
hard on racing with all the bikini contests, jello wrestling
and foam pit parties going on. That's OK cause I won and I
was thrilled.
The last points race of July will be Friday, July 30th. It's
Wally night (National Dragster Challenge) at the track, the
most coveted trophy in drag racing. I am going to try my hardest
to bring home another Wally. I am going to need some luck,
so if you could, please send a little luck my way.
